Greybull Elementary School is a school in the midst of achieving excellence. The staff is young and young at heart, serving students in the rural Big Horn Basin. This rural tradition is rooted in deep farming and ranching traditions and the hard work of the early settlers transcends to the classrooms of GES. The students and staff have worked hard to achieve consistently improving test scores, accomplished through the implementation of classroom instructional strategies that consistently work, through the various responses to student-focused interventions, and through highly efficient staff development. The instructional strategies, the interventions, and the staff development all focus with laser-like intensity on the goals of the school: To improve academic achievement for all students, including closing any gaps; to ensure a safe and orderly environment, where students feel safe and learning can occur; and to increase stakeholder involvement. The cracks have been sealed, and all students, parents, families, and community members have been invited to sit at the the table of high expectations.
