Description

This charming farm house is move-in ready and full of character, waiting for its new owners. Built in the early 1900's, it blends modern convenience with antique touches, such as a double sided enormous rock fireplace, exposed original brick and wood and some remaining original hardwood flooring! Large covered front porch provides a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the day. Step inside to the front sitting room which could be used as additional dining space and the large living room, where high ceilings create an airy, open feel. This great house has been well maintained by its owners. Rooms are good size with space to spread out. Flooring is in good condition, as well as appliances. Large deep acreage with part privacy fence and the remaining acreage is partially fenced. Side and back patios are covered and there is a metal storage building along with carports, chicken coops etc. There is plenty of room to add an additional shop or guest house if that is what you're looking for. This home offers a perfect blend of vintage charm & modern updates, ideal for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Country living.

"people here stay to themselves, really quiet, kids and pet friendly, low crime but rent is really high considering the rate to which people get paid."
  • Apleetxe
"Only have been living here about 8 months but neighborhood is nice and people in the area seem pretty friendly. "
  • Slyandvi
"Griffith lake is a nice community to raise kids or to retire. We enjoy the lake and the pool. There will be a walking trail soon. "
  • Grayson A.
"None. There are no community events in this neighborhood. This isn’t a “bad” neighborhood, however we are located close to Salvation Army. We have many many homeless and/or sketchy people walking up and down our street all the time, even up and down the alley behind houses. It definitely does not make the neighborhood feel safe. Even with a new Fire Station down the street, it does not feel like it’s swayed the street walking people at all. "
  • Westwood Resident
"Beautiful spring and summer yards. Large, beautiful trees that are colorful in the fall. Family friendly trick-or-treating on Halloween. Our neighborhood is one of the best kept secrets in Abilene! AHS athletes run through to safely get in outdoor jogging exercise during the school day. Families safely ride bikes and walk most evenings. Large, well-kept homes for a great price!"
