This school completely failed my daughter, and the district failed us too.During a single school year, my daughter was threatened with being stabbed, threatened that her mother would be killed, pushed down, punched, and repeatedly harassed by other students. We documented incident after incident and repeatedly asked for help.The principal told me FOUR separate times that he could not guarantee my daughter's safety. Let that sink in. The person responsible for the school admitted multiple times that he could not guarantee the safety of a child under his care.When the school failed to adequately address the situation, we sought district intervention. We asked for help from higher levels of administration because we believed the situation had become too serious to be handled at the school level. We were ignored. No meaningful intervention came. No one stepped in to protect our daughter.The school was also overcrowded, with approximately 22 students assigned to a single teacher. Whether due to staffing shortages, resources, or other factors, it was clear that students were not receiving the level of supervision and attention they needed. Parents are also not allowed to attend parties or field trips.Students were shown TV-MA content from Squid Game and Stranger Things during music class, something we found completely inappropriate for elementary school children.What made the experience even worse was the constant minimization of serious concerns. We were made to feel like we were the problem for expecting our daughter not to be threatened, assaulted, or harassed at school.After exhausting every avenue available to us, we withdrew our daughter and returned to homeschooling. No family should have to remove their child from school because the adults responsible for her safety either cannot or will not provide a safe learning environment.The school failed. The district failed. And a child paid the price.
