This school was a very upsetting and concerning experience for my child. My child would come home sad and upset and was no longer the same kid he used to be. There were times when he came home with bruises, scratches all over his body, and dirty clothes. I was also concerned because he wasn’t being given lunch and was kept in a dark room.Whenever we went to speak with the office staff or teachers about what was happening, they would tell us that the injuries were caused by other students. The principal at the time would not even come out to speak with us. The office staff and teachers would avoid talking to me or explaining what was going on, even though I felt like they all knew what was happening.What concerns me even more is that this did not seem to be happening only to my child. I heard similar concerns from other families whose children have disabilities.This school was a horrible and heartbreaking experience for our family. If you are considering sending your child here, especially if your child has a disability, please pay close attention to any changes in their behavior and regularly check on how they are being treated. As parents, we have to stay alert and advocate for our children when something doesn’t feel right
