My kids enjoyed attending East Side Elementary. The principal finds ways to not only encourage good behavior, but celebrate the achievements of students whether they are big or small. They had teachers who cared about them and advocated for them. I knew that they would get remediation or enrichment based on their individual needs and that we would be able to work as a team for my child’s best interests. My kids were taught the state standards and adequately prepared for middle school. I would recommend East Side Elementary to anyone looking for a school that will not only teach their kids the skills they need, but who would also like to join a community that instills life skills, good values, and SOARs in all areas.

Called to get information to enroll my daughter who has a learning disability. Margaret,the front desk lady was absolutely rude. Told me that forest park elementary is nothing special and that they were not able to help my daughter. Absolutely disgusting behavior and dose not care about the regards to children in need. If this is how the front desk lady acts, I would hate to see how the entirety of the school staff treats kids in need.

Great community involvement, did a project with a local business to improve some parts of the school (with painting), always looking to get the students and their families involved in the school.
