About this House

I am sorry that work commitments have made it necessary for me to take the house off the market, for now. This beautifully appointed home combines the spaciousness and individuality of the vintage, custom designed houses in ScotsWood Estates with many 2017 updates. Kitchen updates include new flooring, stovetop, dishwasher, and faucet, along with refinished, gleaming wood cabinets. New carpet in the living room and hall is so soft and plush, you'll never want to wear your shoes in the house again. A new 40 gallon water heater (to complement another one installed in 2011) means that the whole family can shower while the dishwasher and washing machine are running--and still have plenty of hot water left. Slightly older updates include a new roof in 2016, and energy saving AC Compressor and motor in 2014. The sprinkler system, back and front, completely refurbished in 2014, is more than adequate for the lush greenery in the fenced backyard, as well as the huge pecan trees back and front. The tremendous great room (22' X 20') features a cathedral ceiling with real wood- paneled walls, a majestic corner fire place, equipped as either wood burning or gas, and a huge picture window hugging a magnificent old tree that hosts many cheerful birds, provides a playground for mischievous squirrels, and guards a covered patio. The north wing of the house contains three bedrooms and two full baths. The Master bedroom (17' X 15' 4") is roomy enough for two queen beds with space left over just for lounging and is cable ready for that extra TV. The luxurious Master Bath has oval tub, shower, two walk-in closets, private commode, and double marble vanity. Two walls lined with beautiful wooden drawers provide more than ample storage. The other two bedrooms share a large split bathroom providing privacy and convenience. The South wing of the house is a mother-in-law's dream (15' 6" X 12') with private entrance, full bath, and walk in closet. The large, "easy" kitchen (16'6" X 12' 3") opens to a dining area (13' X 11") with built in china cabinet and filled with light from the wall of windows facing the backyard. Other notable features are a comfortable formal dining room; a 12' x 13' front room that can be used as an office, library, or sitting room; a wet bar in the great room and an oversized garage with a workshop furnished with hand tools and large cabinets for storage. Double-paned storm windows throughout the house and ceiling fans in each room provide comfort and keep electricity costs reasonable. The household alarm, along with automatic and motion activated lighting in the driveway and backyard promote ample security. An unexpected blessing is a detached studio equipped with electricity, window unit, phone line, built in desk with shelving and small workshop. Add that all this is in a safe, convenient one story, and located on one of the loveliest streets in the metroplex and you have a house ready for immediate move in, one that you will love all your life. Showing by appointment only, and with proof of pre-approval for loan. Call 682-410-2103.

"Nice place to live, close to downtown Arlington and shops plus entertainment. Six flags is 15 min. drive same with the stadiums. Plenty of restaurants within a 15 mile radius. Beautiful local parks nearby, bonus is walking distance to the library and community centers. Friendly community that feels safe to walk in along with pet friendly. New dog park was added in the last year as well. "
