Established over one hundred years ago, this neighborhood contains many of Everett's earliest homes. Initially a neighborhood of mill houses, simple bungalows and cottages made of lumber from Everett's mills, the homes in Port Gardner became more architecturally elaborate as people with higher incomes moved into the area. Later styles included the American Foursquare, Classic Revival, and Dutch Colonial Revival. The Port Gardner neighborhood is the setting for a variety of transitional architectural styles that have retained much of their original character.Pets on a case by case basis.

    "A lot of transients in the area. Therefore there is a lot of garbage and broken glass around. Probably due to the jail being located in the middle of town and many shelters and such in the area. Also, the town seems to lack adequate lighting in the neighborhoods. "

    "The neighborhood is quite with easy access to I-5 from 41st st. Located parallel to Broadway and Colby this street runs from the Everett Stadium, home of the Auquasox baseball, and the Court house on the North end. The Comcast Arena is within walking distance as well as the downtown area which has been revitalized in the past few years. The Everett Clinic as well as many professional business' are all withing walking distance. Many at the Clinic and Courthouse use Rockefeller to walk during lunches and Kiwanis Park is a good spot for a sit down lunch. Local food is varied and there are lots of ethnic choices including Thai, Mexican, Italian, Irish, Chinese and American fair. "
