The Herington Elementary school was an excellent place for my two children to learn and grow. The teachers and staff are great and always want to see their students succeed. The Elementary school was recently named a National Blue Ribbon School. this just highlights all the effort the schools puts into making sure each student is able to do their best academically. Parents are encourage to participate in their child's learning and the school has several events throughout the year where families can come to the school and have fun and see what exciting things their child is doing.

I believe that USD 487 is one of the best school districts that I have ever been involved with. The teachers care, the students thrive, and parents are kept in the loop as to their childs progress.

I would rate it as a ten out of ten because, even though my father worked there, i felt like i had people there who would be there for me when i needed them. Also, i still have some friends there for me. I recently left there the day after I took my ACTs for the first time.
