Description

This home is in move in condition. The location is waterfront on Stump Pond (Woonasquatucket Reservoir); on a quiet cove. It has a fantastic sunroom with a spectacular view of the water and two of the bedrooms - including the master bedroom - have windows with great water views. In all, in addition to the sunroom there's five windows with a waterview. Excellent spot to build a dock/deck right on the water; the water frontage is shaded in the afternoon and evenings.

Neighborhood Description

Very solid and stable neighborhood; most folks have been here for many, many years or grew up here. Very low car traffic, safe for kids. Gallagher Middle School and Smithfield High are almost exactly 1 mile away. School bus picks up the McCabe elementary kids right at Nimitz (intersects with MacArthur and a very short walk to the bus stop). The convenience of this location cannot be understated; MacArthur is a horseshoe road that spills onto Pleasant View Avenue in two directions. This is super convenient, because you can head towards the schools and Greenville via one way, and the other way shoots you towards 116/7/295. Incidentally, 295 ramps are 2.5 miles away, about 5 minutes. Even with this excellent access, you cannot hear road traffic at this house because 32 MacArthur is right at the bend in the horseshoe shape - and thus tucked in nicely from traffic noise! The cove has mostly canoes on it, and that's infrequent. Very few houses have access to this section of Stump Pond; that keeps it low traffic and peaceful. It's SO nice in the summer! Very relaxing.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"I drive everywhere, I know a few people who ride their bikes places, but it’s not very feasible as a main form or transportation."
  • G4ghm72t74
"I work from home, so I don’t need to commute. however, when I run errands, everywhere is easily accessible—as long as there is no traffic. traffic tends to be on the more brutal side here when it is present. "
  • Nermeeno322
"It’s a safe, close knit community with great schools and wonderful neighborhoods. Excellent colleges plus several hotels to choose from. Many shopping centers as well with a variety of stores and supermarkets."
  • Trulia User
"Dogs are always welcome & I see dog owners walking their dogs on each hour of [nice] days. I’ve also seen a good amount of people in the neighborhood walking their cats as well! Myself included! "
  • Jeffrey D. .
"Wide street to walk dogs and distance between houses, big yards and quiet neighborhood, however Road is very heavily traveled as a cut through for two major roads in northern section of Smithfield "
  • Unspecified

  • Kathi D.
"The build up and shopping available at Smithfield Crossings. Ulta is my favorite and I’m going to be sad if they close the Barnes & Noble. "
  • Mlouton1
"Short trip to 295, then access to Rte 6 which leads to Providence. From Rte 295 you can easily get to either 95 North or South. Conveniently located for most of northern RI and southern Massachusetts."
  • Mlouton1
"Back roads, but easy access to the highways and secondary roads. Expressway is only a few miles from my house. Roads are sanded/plowed frequently in winter making it quite safe to travel."
  • Yelisonsalcedo
