Our experience at Oak View Elementary has been deeply disappointing.The quality of classroom instruction has not met expectations. There has been a noticeable lack of consistent, direct teaching in core subjects, and at times it has felt as though students are not receiving the structured instruction they need. Communication about academic concerns tends to defend existing practices rather than meaningfully address whether students are truly mastering material.The social environment is also concerning. Peer harassment appears to be an ongoing issue, and the response to bullying does not feel proactive or firm enough to create a consistently safe learning environment.As taxpayers, it is frustrating to see significant investment in administrative facilities while classrooms struggle with instructional quality and student support. Families reasonably expect that public funds prioritize direct student learning and safety first.Every child deserves strong teaching, accountability, and a safe environment. In our experience, those expectations have not been met.
