I am a past 2term president of the PTA, my son and I were very active with the school's community, along with Mr. Ken Wallace, Jerry Lee and Brenda; because they offered my son a place to belong and succeed, he is. now a God loving, God fearing member of our community in Roma, TX. Work with the teacher that posted that students are being "coddled", because we used to have very little turn over because our teachers were appreciated and respected. Do you still have the Medical Magnet Program?

The principals are ridiculous and rude. They don't seem care as much to help children succeed as they do to nit pick and tear down in vengeance. They attempt to threaten parents instead of trying to work with them to fix issues with their students. There are a few teachers and guidance counselors that actually do care, but their hands are tied with helping much.

There are unique opportunities such as Mariachi, Ballet Folklorico, and other cultural groups and events to choose from. The teachers care; they do their best to motivate the students to desire the educational success they need to have a prosperous future. Cavazos offers SEL support as well as Communities in Schools programming to expand the students' horizons and create well-rounded leaders of tomorrow.I do wish there was more positive parent buy-in for our family events/groups.

The teachers are sometimes disrespectful to children. I remember when I went there in 6th grade one of the teachers said "where's your dad" to a student who had lost their father, then continued to say "I have two jobs and don't need this job so I don't care if you report me". There has been a TON of vaping and fights and bullying at that school. Sometimes there was fights the teachers didn't know about. One girl would be constantly bullied and one time a bunch of kids in a class gathered around her pointing at her hair claiming to see lice and kept messing with her about that for a WHILE. Then she would get bullied about her shoes and her hair and just a lot of unnecessary things. Overall the kids in this school aren't respectful along with teachers, except for a few.
