6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSend your kid there only if they're AP/IB students. Otherwise... you're not gonna get far. They only care about the AP/IB students. Also be weary if your kid is on IEP, they didn't follow my IEP. I fell through the cracks with this school. Took lifeskills class aka clean the cafeteria up after lunch aka take the trash out wipe, tables, mop/wax floor and failed it. How do you fail taking trash out? I was told I couldn't take ASL because I have a speech impediment, make that make sense. Eh, maybe it's changed. been quite a while but still... I wouldn't recommend this school if it was the last school on Earth.Other Review9mo ago9 Reviews - Sacajawea Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA small school with exceptional and invested staff and educators. Provides all the support and accomodation required for an IEP student with ADHD and language difficulties to thrive via supported communication teachers. Dedicated PTA and frequent opportunities for parent involvement if you take it. Parent and student centered teams work to increase equity in reading and math for all groups, however the standout is probably the SEL education provided by this group.Only downside is the aging playground equipment, but the playground is expensive and safe from traffic.Parent Review1y ago29 Reviews - Jefferson Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could give this school zero stars, I would. The bullying, lack of discipline, and disregard for student safety are alarming. During passing periods, there are 800+ students with only four adults monitoring the hallways, which is completely inadequate.Multiple students have reported that when fights break out, teachers often walk away instead of intervening. Disrespect toward teachers and students who are trying to learn is widespread, and classrooms are consistently loud and disruptive. The environment feels chaotic and out of control.Overall, the administration appears to lack accountability and urgency in addressing these issues. If you are looking for a school with frequent fights, unchecked bullying, and little discipline, Thomas Jefferson may be a fit—but families seeking a safe, structured learning environment should look elsewhere.Parent Review5mo ago17 Reviews - Check out schools near 317 N Bassel Rd E.

"The commute to Portland is horrific. If you live here you should work here and not across the river unless you enjoy activities like slowly poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick. If you are working anywhere in West Vancouver (including downtown) I would say it’s a pretty quick trip. "

"Quiet neighborhood with well-kept yards and friendly neighbors. I'm not aware of any community events, but Klineline Pond and Salmon Creek Trail are very close and great spots to interact with the community."

"Quiet area with good access to both interstate I-5 and I-205. It's safe and many people walk after dark. Neighbors are quiet and mostly keep to themselves, but are friendly if you engage with them. "

"The local area is great but hard to get to without a car. Recent spate of car breakins and trash bin rummaging but it’s not common. Mostly safe. "

"Lots of dogs off the leash around the apartments. People do NOT pick up usually after their dogs. There is also a lot of fighting. Always have police patrolling but there's a lot of domestic fights."

"The schools are decent and I feel safe letting my youngest walk to school alone The neighbors actually wave at you when you walk down the road. It’s nice. People are out in their yards and in their garages working on things. "

"Location, location, location! This area in Vancouver is (in my opinion) the best area to live in. The number one rated schools are within walking distance. Within a mile and a half are both the I-5 and the I-205 freeways, so if you work off either freeway, this area will be convenient for you. There are stores and parks also nearby. So many people walk (also their pets), and jog. This is such a safe and great area to live, whether you're married, partnered. You'll love it!"

"We've raised our family here for 18 years and the experience has been excellent. Park located across the street, friendly neighbors, nice homes with well-kept yards. The nearby schools are some of the best in Clark County. Close to shopping, restaurants, bus Park and Ride, easy freeway access."
