So bad! Please do an online search and you will find so many issues with this school. My 2 older children both went here and then we finally moved so my younger wouldn't have to deal with all the "stuff" that kids have to deal with here. A brief summary: Kids are just mean and their parents stand by their actions, the police presence on campus is justified to deal with this. Academically, progress is slow which is suprising as most kids go to tutroing outside of school! So what are they doing in the classroom? And go to a PTA meeting or board meeting to see the kinds of parents that are involved- why is everyone so angry all the time? We moved from the Midwest and were truly mortified by how people treat each other (kids and adults). The culture in Danville is self centered to the highest degree and this effects all interactions. Everyone is so stressed out and busy (not that I can blame them, but still it makes life feel so miserable). We were one of the 100,000 families that recently moved to the greater Sacramento area (Lincoln (Catta Verdera Country Club), Granite Bay, Rocklin area) so we could live a life worth living. We are all happy again!

Montair is a fantastic school with a truly supportive community. The fundraising efforts are second to none in the area, which means students have access to special programs like music and other enrichment opportunities that many nearby schools simply can’t offer. Both of my children attended Montair and are now thriving in middle school, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the foundation they received here.The facilities are excellent, safe, and well maintained, and the location makes it a great choice for families. Compared to other schools in the area that may have fewer resources, Montair really stands out.The only area where I think the school could continue to grow is in providing more support for students with special needs. While overall it’s a wonderful place, strengthening this aspect would make it even better.Overall, I would highly recommend Montair Elementary to any family looking for a well-rounded, resource-rich, and community-driven school experience.

SRV is entirely sports-focused. Parents & teachers are heavily involved in the sports programmes, and school spirit is centered around men’s football/basketball. Academics are consistently declining— fewer AP courses each year, unmotivated teachers, and a general attitude among students that academics are less important than sports. The (few) students that are academically ambitious always have private tutors and paid college advisors because the support at SRV is nonexistent. The culture is of course all about sports, as most students at SRV have lived in Danville forever and grew up dreaming of playing for SRV. There’s lots of school spirit but little involvement in non-sports activities (which are also underfunded). Majority of students are white, wealthy, and privileged, which shows up in the general attitude held at SRV.
