About this House
3 Levels fully above grade.
The 1st floor is unfinished with both a steel door and WIFI-enabled garage door. A larger water heater was added. 90% of all water and waste lines have been replaced with pex. The 500' well has not run dry at full occupancy. Access and rights to the HOA well is included. Floor to ceiling shelving has been added in many areas. A large work bench has been built and cabinets from the kitchen were added as another workbench. Plumbing already exists in the cement floor for an additional bathroom / kitchen. The Central AC and dehumidifier empty condensation through a separate drain under the basement floor. The entire basement is ringed with outlets every 8' on every wall. Additional outlets were added to the ceiling as well as a separately wired 20-amp circuit currently used for a small welder or large air compressor in the center near the HVAC. The 2nd level has a 3/4 wrap-around deck with 80+ mile views of the NC and SC Piedmont. Clear views of Spartanburg, Greer, and Greenville as well as the Tryon/Hogback mountain can been seen year-round. Winter views include a spectacular sunrise and sunset. The paved driveway has parking both at the 1st and 2nd levels of the home. The 2nd level is accessed without steps from the upper parking area. Master Bed & Bath, 1/2 Bath, Kitchen, Laundry room and enormous Great room are all on the 2nd level. 2 1/2 stories of windows are in the Great-room's south wall and includes additional access the deck and entertaining areas. The dining area of the great room includes a large propane-fired gas fireplace with enormous walnut mantle reclaimed from a Bowery in SC, as well as a stacked rock exterior sourced from the mountain itself. On the 3rd level a large loft overlooks the Great room and the south wall of windows. Two well sized bedrooms and a newly gutted and renovated guest bath are also on the 3rd level. The deck is perfect for a deck garden, potting sink recently installed, and keeps your plants away from the abundant deer and other wildlife. The deck is large enough to also include many areas for guests to gather, talk, and eat. There is additional attic space (with sub-flooring installed) above the 3rd floor accessed via a drop-down staircase. The outdoor propane fire-pit and propane grill are fed from a large hidden propane tank that also supplies gas to the Great room fireplace and new Stainless-Steel Kitchen-Aid down-draft vented stove-top. The full Kitchen gut and remodel includes Maple cabinetry with a dark stain, all new stainless-steel appliances, a very large island with seating for 4+ (one large slab of granite). A Granite sink and counter-top along with new lighting were also installed.
The Master Bath has been fully gutted and remodeled. Schluter was used for the shower wall, and entire heated flooring with a wireless thermostat. A door and adjacent casement windows were added to access the deck where a large Hot tub can be placed. Inside the bathroom, natural stone river stone and pebble 'flow' down the wall, passing 3 built in cubbies, through the shower, past the glass shower wall, through the bathroom to the outside door. The floor to ceiling and the his and hers built-in vanities are solid maple matching that of the kitchen. The marble topped vanities include antiqued bronze vessel sinks. The main tile on the floor is a slate-look tile made from ceramics that matches the rocks of the area. The toilet was replaced with a Black Kohler toilet and features a heated luxury Bidet.
The house is wired for a whole-home generator (the owner currently uses a 10KW gasoline generator to power all electric other than the HVAC). High-speed internet is provided by Windstream with speeds to accommodate 4k video to multiple locations. The house has had nearly all outlets and light switches replaced for whole-home voice activation via Alexa, Google home, Siri, or hand-held remote control.
