My son is 10 years old in the past 2 months he has been bullied and harassed. He got a rock smashed in the back of his head. The next bullying was a beating my son got punched in the face, fell to the ground and 3 boys kicked him in the stomach and back and tried to get back up and got punched in the face and fell back and was kicked again. Did recess teachers do anything, no. He limped to his sister where his sister helped him. Did the principal call me, no. A week later my son does not feel safe and yet he gets blamed. The school does not implement any extra safe guards, no reassurance of safety. His sister goes back to school, she is then threatened that if he goes back to school he better watch it. My daughter now feels unsafe. I ask the principal what do we do. Well we can promise anything. Ohh that sounds reassuring. I ask Michelle blaze at FMS for a waiver. She says it's 2 more months. That they don't qualify because of poor attendance due to homelessness. Regardless of attendance a child deserves to be safe and to feel safe. I will be loud til my children have a safe place to attend school. I will be loud til someone listens.

I think Mesa View is doing a great job making students feel included and helping them want to be there. The teachers also really care about their students! Family engagement is also a huge priority and there are lots of opportunities to be engaged.

Piedra Vista is a great high school; I'd say the best one in Farmington and in the area. Teachers worked great with my kids. School is newer and has a great Athletic program and does very well in almost everything. School even has officers on grounds from the start to the end of school and even school evening events. There is a State cop that lives on campus. School is located in a great area of Farmington. I would 100% suggest this school if you were moving in to town or want to change your kid schools.
