The vast majority of the students who attend this school are being held back by their parents from starting school by one year so that they can gain an academic and athletic advantage over their classmates.This is referred to as "redshirting."As a result, if you are a parent who enters your child in school at the time when they are supposed to do so, your child will be at a severe global disadvantage academically, athletically and socially as compared to their classmates, the majority of whom are actually supposed to be one grade above your child in school.The district is complicit in this practice.

Bronxville Schools - K to 12 - are all housed in the same building / campus. This creates a truly unique learning, growing and maturing experience for students. Having had multiple kids go through the Bronxville School from K to 12, we have nothing but praise for the Administration, teachers and support staff. Teaching curriculum is the "easy" part. Where Bronxville excels is fostering the awareness and skills needed to successfully thrive in the world outside the school campus. This means intelligently integrating lessons at all grades to encompass multiple academic disciplines. For example, using pumpkins around Halloween in K for measurement, weight, and other lessons. Having students build their own Rube Goldberg machines, countless group projects from history to current events, grade appropriate presentation assignments, and more. The character of the school stresses acceptance of others at all times - not just when someone is looking. A review mentioned some parents pay for tutors and there are sports outside the classroom. I think this is true of any school in America -literally from pre-K on. A review criteria asked about Special Education - Bronxville sets the gold standard in creating academic programs that meet Special Needs kids where they are at so they can learn alongside the broader population, while getting the modifications and support they need. This extends to all clubs and sports, which actively encourage participation from ALL kids. A review mentioned some parents pay for tutors and said there are sports outside the classroom. There are. I think this is true of any school in America - literally from pre-K on.

This school is extremely bad as a social environment if you enjoy creativity, It also has a lot of cheating and teachers don't care, students are incredibly ugly and nasty. And yes, I write this as I am in a bathroom stall with kids throwing paper towels at me from outside. Really joyful school (Sarcastic)
