About this House

Located near Indiana University and all the conveniences Bloomington's East side has to offer, this 4-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home has been tastefully updated and lovingly cared for by the current owners. From the tree-lined street through the generous foyer, the home opens to reveal sunlit solid maple floors and an open concept main level. An architectural 13-foot archway delineates the living and family room, which features a gas fireplace, and opens to the kitchen for ideal entertaining flow. The kitchen features a large ceramic farmhouse sink, new refrigerator, European stainless steel hood, reclaimed wood floating shelves, and French doors leading to the expansive deck. There is a den/craft room that could be used as a formal dining, or even a guest room. Also on the main level is a laundry/mud room that has been transformed into a perfect spot to unload winter coats and backpacks, with a butcher block bench and ample storage that is accessible from the garage and kitchen. The maple wood floors continue up the stairs to the recently remodeled master suite with a tiled walk-in shower, double sinks, new lighting and cabinets. The master includes a walk-in closet that has been outfitted with custom shelving and the sellers are willing to include the second cabinet for additional storage. Also on this level are three additional bedrooms and a large updated bathroom. The fenced backyard has a large entertainer's Trex© deck, offering both privacy and shade. There is an unfinished basement that could be used for storage, or finished in the future for additional bedrooms or rec room. Other improvements include a newer roof and a new furnace and air-conditioning system. The home, which has been recently painted throughout, has an enormous 1,000 sq.ft. 3-car garage with plenty of room for a workshop, and is located in the Binford Elementary School, Tri-North Middle School and Bloomington High School North district.

"There are a lot of college kids that live here, myself included. It’s a great investment area, rents are jacked up and high demand but it’s a terrible place to raise kids and a family"
  • Justinblessed1992

  • Lauren Myers
"Many students who live in our neighborhood have dogs or cats. Many pets in our neighborhood are well taken care of and are friendly with neighbors."
  • Trulia User
"I don’t have anything to offer here. There has been some Gun violence and a drug related murder a year ago. Hopefully that has all been resolved. "
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"A lot of doggie bags and waste can stations. Some green space but not a ton. Depending on your unit you have to walk far to find adequate grassy areas."

No complaints in my neighborhood about dogs because they are all either friendly but stay to themselves or they are actually involved in our daily lives where they are our pups friend. Love it a lot."
  • Cmossbrucker
"Country setting quiet private neighborhood. Feel very safe and know my neighbors. Great place to raise kids"

"Fireworks for several hours every night starting in about May and ending a couple weeks after the 4th of July, with random nights of hours-long fireworks here and there. "
  • Carol W. W.
"There is public transportation, but many people bike around town. The B-Line Trail is just a few blocks from my home and it’s an easy way to get downtown."
  • Morgan E. C.
"As long as you’re living on the part that’s no where near Acadia courts then you’re good. People also run the stop sign on the Allendale Winslow entrance so you have to be super careful there, and people drive pretty fast on Allendale . If you have kids make sure you have a fence and not close to the main road "
  • Eileen D.
