"We’ve lived here 39 years and raised our children here. We love the close knit community. There’s a Variety of shops, a fabulous library and the college offers an entire arboretum. "
  • Rick G.
"Swarthmore is a throwback to a different era. There is a strong sense of community. A swim club, coop market, and a community library plus a small business district add to the color. The schools are very good. Plenty of green space."

"For being such a tiny town, Swarthmore does an excellent job of engaging the community with events all summer long. The only downsides are the lack of a local pub and the extreme taxes. "
  • Kristin A.
"This is a great neighborhood, just really expensive. Conveniently located near many major roadways. Public transportation is also easy "
  • Matt N.
"I work from home so I don’t need to go anywhere but close to public transportation and local highways. I like being near the airport. "
  • Enjoli R.
"People grow up here, then leave and they always come back to raise their families! One of the best school districts around."
  • Kristin G.
"Great for families with young kids, and pets. Excellent schools, and a very involved community."
  • dtmitchel
"I live in this neighborhood and find it a uniquely cozy, rural neighborhood surrounding Swarthmore College with many historic homes, woods, trees, flowers, birds of many species, deer, rabbits, squirrels, and fox. Swarthmore College tennis courts are to our house's immediate right and the soccer and rugby playing fields across the street stretch out beyond to the late nineteenth century train station (R3 Swarthmore stop). There is a quaint town with local businesses, restaurants, food co-op, and local library all run by local people."
  • engelman s.
"Lehigh Circle in Swarthmore is an idyllic setting for retiring and/or raising a family. There is a beautiful neighborhood park and the neighbors are top notch. Lehigh Circle is in Swarthmore but you don't pay the high Swarthmore taxes! The best of both worlds, I say!"
  • N
"This area is perfect for any family. Great neighborhood, easy walking distance to several different schools."
