If I could put a 0 for safety, I would erwin sucks and is not a safe learning environment what’s so ever, from discrimination to bullying and harassment they have it all. Even the administration are some bullies and are extremely unprofessional. It’s not a safe place for people of color, not a safe place for the lgbtq or any marginalized community whatsoever, unless your a white straight man don’t go here it sucks and you will be bullied if your not “normal” even the administration will pick favorites based on appearance and gender aswell as race. I currently go here and everyday is hard in general, school should be a safe place for students and Erwin fails to provide that.

I love this school! I've recently changed from a different school district in BCS to this school district, and it's made me feel great. The one thing that bothers me is how other students in my (7th grade) classes don't really even bother to even talk to me, the "new student". I'm not the best at starting a conversation or socializing, but I'd at least like to feel seen and have students come up to me, that's how I make friends. There are students who I'd LOVE to talk to during lunch, but I'm always too shy to speak to them. It makes me feel really sad.

Terrible school. No communication with parents, no homework makes it difficult for parent to help child when child is struggling and don't understand work because we have no clue what they are even learning in school. As an educator of children you would think when child is not understanding there school work that they would at least try and help them and teach them. Not at this school they would rather just publicly humiliate the kid the kid in front of other students for not completing work. Not completing a paper in class my child was told he won't be able to attend class Christmas party even though I had previous agreement with teacher that work that he didn't get completed in school would get sent home so we could make sure he completes it. This paper never got sent home and he came home crying because he didn't understand it didn't get it done and wasn't going to be able to attend classroom Christmas party! Absolutely disturbing to me how they single kids out and publicly humiliate them in front of other students and don't even have the decency to communicate with parents child being in trouble or even what's going on with their child for that matter! This school has a D in buncombe county and it don't even deserve that honestly! Do yourself a favor and enroll kid in different school if you had a chance.

Engaged teachers, who are always interested in helping your child get the most out of the school curriculum. It is an overall amazing school.
