We have had a great experience the past year at Hamilton - really great teachers and staff and a strong community!

We count ourselves lucky to be a part of McDonald International. Our child is in the Japanese track. We felt a lot of trepidation when originally offered a spot - we had no prior connections to Japan, the culture or the language. However, we saw it as an opportunity and after speaking with several parents in the program we went for it. And are we ever grateful that we did. Our child is thriving in the program. The teachers are wonderful. Every morning the teacher comes out to greet each child and parent, and holds the hand of any child having a tough drop off. Our child has a food allergy and the teachers and parent community have been conscientious and supportive in keeping them safe, particularly at lunch times. During parent teacher conferences we were surprised and pleased to hear how our child's particular learning needs were being met in a customized way, given the class has approx 24 kids. I can't say enough good things and how much the school has exceeded our hopes and expectations. We have experienced three SPS schools over the years across our children and McDonald is the most impressive. I heartily recommend.

Very impressed with the teachers and staff. This school seems to have a very welcoming culture and a lot of options for AP courses and high level-math courses. It is a project based school, and students are encouraged to demonstrate their learning through a proejct, which preapres them for the future outside of just exams and essays. While the teachers are supportive, I find the grading and standards to be fairly stringent. That being said, they seem to genuinly want to help kids improve and often allow opportunities to revise assignemts after they recieve feedback, so good grades are a realistic possibility for any student who is willing to work hard and be open to feedback.
