"Close to schools, restaurants and a couple of parks nearby. The neighbors I talk to are very friendly, everyone in town or downtown Swansboro is extremely nice! It’s just a loving little beach town. "
  • Tim K.
"Great parks. Safe. Activities downtown most summer weekends. Decent schools. Many families with kids"
  • Ferline P. G.
"I love the neighborhood. I just moved to North Carolina State my family and me. my husband is military. I find a good place to stay with your family. and safe"
  • Danielleteetor
"Swansboro is developing fast and could be for better or worse. If you have children and are wanting to move to the area check out traffic for the neighborhood as ppl regularly drive 45 down our street. "
  • Todd
"dogs are welcomed as long as they are on leash and not inside stores and restaurants. when not on leash dogs are to be inside a fenced yard not tied to a tree or stake in the ground. "
  • Christopher G.
"I've lived here since 2013 and consider it home. the people are nice and the area is great. if I ever moved away for work and was able to come back, this is where I'd go. "
  • Christopher G.
"I've lived here for 4.5 years and know the area and the community. I like the small town feel and how the people here always seem helpful."
  • brock_usmc
"I live in the area and the new upgrades to the local park (walking path, community center, playground, etc.) have really made this area kid friendly. Pets are allowed at the park and tennis courts are a major plus. The local police tour my neighborhood (deer run) at least twice a day. "
  • gardner2009
"At Deer Run you are right across the street from the town park with a modern playground, brand new recreational center, nature trails, soccer fields, shopping, dining, and a drug store. Just .5 miles down West Main Street Extension is a medical center, Ace Hardware and Advance Auto Parts. Coming to Swansboro for a fishing tournament...the Civic Center is .5 miles away. Deer Run is just a short 1.4 mile bike ride to downtown shopping and the waterfront. Deer Run is a great place to visit, rent (short/vacation/long term) or buy."
  • Anna
"I love living in this neighborhood because it is close to schools, shopping, work, restaurants, the beach, Camp Lejeune, recreation! The neighborhood is friendly, quiet and dog owners clean up after their pets!"
