This was a stressful. unsuccessful journey. I was pulled in by the extra staff and the appearance of a good team. Unfortunately I thought these guys knew what they where doing. So I took there lead. I cleared toys out of my behavior child's room, I created hard consequences, had my child write apologize letters, replace items that dont make sense to have 5 year old have access to, I bent over backwards to appease there request and try something new dispite my better judgment. After months the behaviors got worse. The school never cared about what started the behavior. Only that I gave her a extreme consequences. When I realized there approach was affecting her the opposite way they intended maybe they would listen to me. They had a way of twisting my words and taking things really personal when I brought up anything. near the end it was personal for me. I realized what I thought would be best would be tossed away as too much to accommodate in a public school. What I wanted could be done in 15 mins. but instead we shall escalate her lasting longer. Her last day before being expelled this school had her alone for 15 mins. I had left them a excited girl ready to start the day. In 15 mins you guys escalated her to the point she got overwhelmed and bit the principal. I never was able to really sit down and try and problem solve with the school why these behaviors where happening. They cut me off and demanded consequences and she is doing this on purpose. Everything is the parents fault. Even conversations id over hear... shaming parents... You have the opportunity, staffing and hopefully parents support. But unfortunately blindsided on why children have behaviors. I truly do wish you guys well. I hope Octavia was able to teach you being big, talking down and high consequences are not always the answer and you can use that for the next child. Meanwhile we will enjoy the movie theaters on our own.

I am impressed with the staff and my daughter's new teacher. She is very sweet and understanding of my child's medical needs and requirements. The front office staff is always very welcoming.
