7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended 6th grade before pulling her out. The school has killed any inspiration for learning she once had. The leadership is downright incompetent as we and other families we know have had zero support/accountability on issues ranging from bullying, drug solicitation in the bathrooms, antisemitism, students with needs not getting their entitled benefits, overall poor academics... I know my daughter didn't feel safe going there after an incident she had...in addition to a bomb scare that cancelled the first day of school. There was also a legit firearm threat that was fortunately neutralized by police before anything happened, but the campus format is completely unsecure. From all accounts, there apparently are a few teachers there who are competent and inspirational, but my daughter didn't experience any of them. Zero stars for the administration. After dealing with them, a strong vote of "no confidence." If you are a voter reading this, it's time to oust Turnbull and get a real staff. They have completely failed the community.Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Santa Cruz Gardens Elementary School

She is so warm and inviting to all her students and their families. She's really genuine and cares for your child. Also, she makes learning exciting and fun! My son was lucky enough to have her two years in a row.Parent Review10y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 3050 Dover Dr.

"Dog owners would live walking their dogs in a leash on neighbor streets, down Bethany Curve to WestCliff. There are two beaches nearby that allow dogs to be off-leash before 9:00am and after 4:00pm"

"It is safe and the schools are good. People are authentic and generally want to do good. Teaching kids bike safety would be very useful and the parks are fun! "

"Love. Neighborly. Generosity. Care. Help. People. Great food. Weather. Beach. Mountains. Outdoor recreation. Schools. Athletics. Plenty of activities for kids. Great downtown. All the parks. Surfing. Dog parks. Diversity. Always something to do. Perfect for gardeners like me. Best shelter in place location. Good access to Silicon Valley. Easy commute to everything. "Lived here for 2 years. Just off the beach. Cars are broken into regularly. I never leave anything in my car to prevent break ins. Bikes are stolen all the time. And if our apartment wasn’t hidden behind a large house I would worry about being broken into. It’s a hippy city and surfer and bro mentality or old ppl who don’t want it to change EVER ....the beach aspect is nice. But we are moving soon and I won’t be sad to leave. "
