It is a small town school, and so there is a Social Hierarchy in which people base their entire lives on. There is a prominent issue with racism/sexism/homophobia as well as monetary class separation. Bullying is a major problem as well, as most students who are unpopular or not in sports are ‘worthless’ to the school to include the different art programs I.e. choir, theater/drama, art. Families are denied the opportunity to have any say in the student’s learning and the special education program forcefully holds back the kids rather than help them achieve the basic necessities for life outside of a K-12 environment. Some of the teachers pick favorites and distract others from learning while other teachers focus on the student’s capabilities and push them to become better, there is no true balance. Students have little to no respect for most teachers as the school district is against any of the teachers using their position of authority to discipline students, this causes a basic breakdown of interaction.

The people rating this school high are most likely those involved with the school. This is one of the worst schools I've ever dealt with. Kids are allowed to miss homework and make it up weeks later, There are constant physical fights in the hallways, bathrooms, and even some in the classrooms because supervision is minimal. When issues arise and its brought to the staff members they blow it off as if it's unimportant and then sweep it under the rug. Some teachers sit around and gossip with the students about other students and families- very unprofessional! ( There are a couple of good teachers who show professionalism, but the majority do not). Many kids in this district do not understand the concept of respect and often times are uncorrected by both parents and staff, and in some instances the behavior is even encouraged by the parents. Unfortunately, there are very few good things to be said about this school.
