"Very dog friendly city. Lots of paths to walk along the lake as well as nature paths that are very dog friendly. There is even a dog park that seems to be very popular for both big dogs and small "
  • Charles D.
"Right by the beach and people are always walking their dogs. Great place to be. Quiet and friendly neighborhood "
  • Kim K.
"I drive an hour to work ever day. Driving in town in general is pretty laid back though and rarely any heavy traffic."
  • Stephanie G.
"I was raised in this neighborhood pretty good place to live in. Good schools. Decent restaurants not a whole lot of shopping area thought but it’s quite which is good. "

"Easy area to walk dogs and spend quality time outside with family. Biking or running, Albert Lea has all you need to raise a family and stay healthy while doing it. "
  • Naheiser
"Lived here for 3 years. My 3 neighbors are all very nice, caring people. We are tucked back on a bay of Fountain Lake with woods so it’s quiet. We see eagles and cardinals plus deer and wild turkeys! Love it here."
  • Cole7481
"Great place to live! Beautiful lakes, parks and people. Amazing cost of living. Places to eat, things to do. Lake, land, life! "
  • Cole7481
"Community events are always happening, such as Holiday events, markets, live music and festivals, etc. Great people and lots to do - lakes, land, life!"

"I've live in Albert Lea my whole life and honestly it's quite dull unless your a streo typically elderly person. There isn't much here for young people, jobs are few and far between, The lakes are gross."
  • Unspecified
"I like all the parks that are less then a mile from my house. My favorite park in my neighborhood is Frank Hall park. Frank Hall park has a play area for kids, a fishing pier, Public water access for boaters, and Gazbos that are perfect for a picnic (The humane society is by the park too! highly recommend checking it out if you want a pet.). Right across the street from the park there is a basketball and a pickleball court and the Aquatic Center."
  • scottschmeltzer12
"Amazing community for giving back! Relay for Life, United Way, etc. Small town that is great for raising a family. 45 minutes from Mayo Clinic-Rochester, MN. Two amazing golf courses. New High School that is beautiful."
