"Schools are great. Entertainment poor. Teenagers have nothing to do. Very few restaurants stay open past 7pm. Town is laboratory town, sidewalks roll up after 6pm. 18k ppl live here after 7pm. 40k ppl travel here M-F 0600/1700. Traffic backed up 1600-1800. Two ways out of town both packed. Leave town before lab lets ppl go home. "

"Easy to get to my workplace, very little traffic. I do use my own car however, but that may be more due to the nature of my work, which allows me to come and go as I please."
  • Jennifer G.

"Los Alamos has good schools, great trails, low crime, and abundant sunshine. It's close to Santa Fe (45 min.) and less than 2 hours from Albuquerque and airport. Shopping/dining/nightlife limited to nonexistent. "

"I live and work here. If you need to shop or party this is not your town, but otherwise it is truly unique in it's amenities and quality of life."
