There has been a population loss, the income distribution levels have also changed since the incorporation 100 yrs ago of this farming community. Currently businesses include, Beauty/Barber Shop, Senior Citizens Center, Pump and Farm Supply, Two Insurance Agencies, Two Storage Facilities, Museum, Dairy Mart Burgers with indoor dining area, Gas Station with Mom and Pop convenience store, US Post Office, 5-7 Churches, Justice of the Peace, City Hall, Volunteer Fire Dept, Pre K - 12th grade Public School (with rising student scores, excellent teachers, small teacher student ratio, Patrolling County Sheriff Support.
