The blatant favoritism at this school and who the administration chooses to get in trouble and who they let slide is obvious. How can you let two girls walk past you, both wearing the same outfit, and only say something to one? The vice principal is stuck up, thinks he's better than everyone and is your average highschool bully. you never see the principal, ever. Half of these teachers don't teach, some of them are just straight up disrespectful and miserable and very obviously hate their jobs. some of them just can't be bothered to show up to class some days. They tell you to be on your best behavior or they write you up the day before the district visits, and only then will they teach. Roaches everywhere, rats in the vents, holes in the wall. The janitors can't be bothered to do what they're paid for, bathrooms will go days without soap or toilet paper or even being cleaned. Mold growing in the vents, massive cracks forming between the floors and baseboards. The school counselor is miserable, several students and even teachers hate talking to her. I understand that being a school counselor may not be the best job, especially in this district, but if you're so bad that even teachers don't like interacting with you and ninety percent of the students can't stand you? I believe that says a lot. There's no communication between the school and parents, or at all period. If you can, absolutely avoid sending your kids here.

My child absolutely loves attending this school. Since the new school has been built, I can definitely tell that the admins and staff truly care about their students. I've never seen my child so excited about coming to school every morning. Thank you.

I am a senior attending RCTCM, and I have been at this school for four years. During that time, the school has changed for the worse. The rules, punishments, engagement, and overall experience have made school less enjoyable and less effective for students.One major issue is that high school students are treated the same as middle school students. Seniors who are preparing for college and adulthood are given the same restrictions as younger students. Instead of being trusted with more responsibility, we are often punished for small things that should be handled differently for older students.Another problem is the lack of fun or positive engagement. School should not only focus on rules and discipline, but also on building a community and creating experiences students enjoy. At TCM, many students feel like there is nothing to look forward to. The administration often shuts down ideas for trips, events, or activities because of “rules and regulations,” which lowers school spirit and motivation.Many students also end up cheating instead of actually learning. This is not always because they do not care, but because some teachers do not explain the material clearly. Large amounts of work are given in short periods of time, and assignments are not always graded quickly. It can also be difficult to get help with missing or remedial work.The punishments at the school also feel harsh and rushed. Students are sometimes disciplined without much discussion or understanding of the situation. Discipline should help students learn from mistakes, not just punish them.Seniors especially feel disrespected. After spending four years at this school, our opinions often feel ignored even though we have the most experience with how the school works.Overall, the school environment could improve if administration listened more to students, treated high schoolers with more respect, and focused more on improving teaching and engagement rather than only increasing rules and punishments. Students want to succeed, but the environment needs to support that goal.
