7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children love Paddock. The teachers, staff, and families are caring and very supportive. They work with the children to ensure they understand the curriculum and if they see a child may need some extra assistance they take the initiative to provide that extra help. The school does a great job communicating to parents utilizing current technology.Parent Review8y ago9 Reviews - Westside High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLove the Westside school district. Teachers and administration is excellent. They are better funded than OPS and have high standards for the children & parents. If your child isn't academically inclined or you have no interest in having an active roll in your child's education, go somewhere else. If all you want to do is make excuses for your child for why they aren't doing well in class, go somewhere else. This is a school with HIGH standards for the students & the parents.Parent Review2y ago22 Reviews - Westside Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve waited to write this because I didn’t want to do it in anger. Three years ago, my child was being badly picked on at this middle school. At first the school responded well, and the kids involved were facing consequences. But then those same kids called my son on Discord and tried to manipulate him into changing his story so they’d get off the hook. When I brought evidence of this to the principal, she accused me of “causing drama” and of trying to trick students, rather than protecting my child. My son had been manipulated for years, and instead of standing with him, the principal belittled me and failed us. The elementary and high schools in this district are much better run, but the middle school’s leadership failed my child when he needed them most.Parent Review7mo ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 3003 Paddock Rd.

"We’ve had a mixed experience living in this neighborhood. On the positive side, it’s a beautiful, established area with mature trees and a surprising amount of wildlife. There are also a few truly kind and welcoming neighbors who make a real effort to build community. That said, the overall environment can feel very tense. Some neighbors are quick to report minor issues, and there seems to be a strong focus on enforcement rather than communication. We’ve experienced situations where concerns were escalated to the city almost immediately, rather than neighbors talking directly with each other first. For example, after a storm knocked down a tree on our property, we received a notice to remove it within 30 days—but it was difficult to even get a tree service scheduled in that timeframe. Situations like that can feel frustrating, especially when you’re already dealing with unexpected damage. There have also been instances where notes were left rather than having a conversation, which can make the neighborhood feel less welcoming. Overall, it’s a visually lovely neighborhood, but the experience can depend heavily on neighbor interactions. For those considering moving here, it may be worth understanding the expectations and level of enforcement ahead of time."
