3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s a school that is struggling to cope with a surrounding community in apparent decline and a commensurate student population accompanying that. There were limited resources available for successful students to maximize their academic opportunities. The lion’s share of teachers’ and administrators’ efforts were dedicated (not unjustly) to keeping a struggling student body afloatOther Review5y ago5 Reviews - Greenwood Middle School

"They usually mind their business and take care of their animals which seems nice. The only thing I would say is the litter in some areas"

"Less wandering dogs than 2 years ago. There were dogs that would wander the neighborhood and into my yard. I have 2 small dogs that stay with me when I am outside and are not allowed to leave the yard. These last 2 years, there is better control of wandering dogs. I live at a very busy intersection and would hate to see an animal get hit by a vehicle "

"This is a dying farm community with high crime in city areas, gangs and violence in and outside city areas. Schools are horrible. The Air Force bade is the only thing going for it. "

"It’s not unique. Most of the homes are well cared for and from the 50s or before. Immediate neighbors are friendly. Many pedestrians during the daytime. Quiet at night. Ages quite varied here from early 20s to mid 80s. Fire and EMS services close by and grocery store 5-6 blocks away. Off street parking for most homes. Low crime in this neighborhood. "
