9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is still much discrimination at this school. Some white kids with throw the N word around like its nothing. LGBT kids are treated like they are 2nd class. A lot of the teachers are like this too. Some teachers are good but a lot don't teach and you have to do it yourself. A lot of kids here don't respect adults or people that are different from them. Anything they do for "mental health" is to make them look better. My mental health keeps dropping every day I go. They only care about appearing like they are some outstanding school. Please don't let your kid go here. I'm only making it through this because of the few friends and few teachers that make this school bearable. I don't think the parents reviews really shine light at what going on here because they don't go and experience life here. You might get good grades here but unless you are the cookie cutter they want, you're mental heath will suffer.Student Review9mo ago10 Reviews - Carroll Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school. We have 2 kids in high school and one in elementary school. Please note that the Great School scores are incorrect because this campus is only for first years and sophomores. Otherwise, it would be one of the best schools in Texas.Parent Review2y ago10 Reviews - George Dawson Middle School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey claim their core values are "honest communication" and "curiosity" and respect for others. Yet they refuse to allow their students to read the autobiography of the man they named the school after. Why did they name the school after him? Because of his inspiring autobiography. They don't value curiosity or learning. They don't respect the experiences of others. They don't communicate honestly. They ban books that honestly describe the effects of our nation's racist history. Sadly, the man who wrote his autobiography was a child himself when he experienced racism. The school could use this as a teaching experience about how racism isn't suitable for children. Instead, they decided it was the *discussion* of racism that wasn't suitable, not the racism itself. The leaders of this school lack intelligence, compassion, integrity, and plain common sense. They shouldn't be entrusted with the care of any living things, let alone children. What a pathetic legacy for such an inspiring man.Other Review2y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 3000 Trinity Ln.

"I don’t know? I mean the yards are decent sizes so that’s generally good for dog owners. There’s a dog park sort of near by and actual parks and trails nearby as well"

"Commute to most of north suburbs from the Alliance area on the west to parts of Irving to the east is doable. Commuting to anything east of DFW airport is a nightmare frequently enough to avoid it."

"My commute is not long and traffic is not too bad. The main highways do get congested at high travel times but if you work around it you will not have a huge problem. Plan to travel around rush hour if possible. If your able to afford it I would recommend using the ez pass area on the highways, it will save you time. "

"Great schools, social events with most HOA’s, observant law enforcement who care for the community. Mother in law’s backs up to sky ranch golf course and their private parties can get pretty loud, but the police are responsive and shut them up pretty quickly. "
