Farmington just won an award from the Japanese American society, the award was started to honor an Illinois nobel prize winner. This award is usually earned by wealthy schools like Naperville, new trier and private academies. But Farmington won the award in 2015 and is up for the 2017 award.Farmington is a rural school yet has amazing teachers and opportunities. For the recent paarc testing the teachers put together a hip hop parody. There are talented children iffarmers, several children of physicians, university professors and caterpillar workers all working together.For a small school we offer wrestling, golf, football, girls volleyball, basketball, bass fishing club, and we are working towards a soccer co op.We partner with our newly constructed town library to offer summer programs to prevent reading loss that school kids experience.All located close to Bradley university, one of the best mid sized privaye universities in the U.S.We have out share of whiners, but when there is a field trip of 27 kids, you will find 9 parents attending. This was the case when our 3rd graders earned a grant for building a replica of the titanic out of milk cartons, which was on display at the Peoria museum during the travelling titanic exhibit.

Friendly staff, great teachers. Class sizes are nice. Still has a small town feel with brand new campus.
