While the teachers are great, the principal of this school is very ineffective. He does not know how to run a school, and treats people not on his "list" like dirt. He needs to retire and make way for someone who knows how to be a leader, and will support all faculty and staff.

Both of my children had the privilege of attending Lee F. Jackson Elementary School in the Greenburgh Central School District. The school is an International Baccalaureate school that honors the principals of the IB. Teachers are dedicated and the learning is rich. The families are wonderful and the school offers many opportunities for family engagement.

My child thrived at Bailey even with the distance learning brought on by the pandemic her last year there. She had great teachers that cared and pushed her to do her best work and were very responsive to me as a parent whenever I had questions. The principal, Mrs. Rraci, also adequately addressed any concerns that came up throughout the 3 years. There are opportunities for kids to learn instruments and sing in the chorus as well as after school activities. Even when they had to do it only virtually instead of in person, the music teacher put together a wonderful play! As of the fall of 2021 there is a brand new playground for students to enjoy.

I attended Woodlands as a student and I wouldn't have gone anyplace else. The faculty encourage growth and excellence in their students. I felt safe, supported and provided for in this district.I'd absolutely recommend Woodlands.
