About this House

A rare opportunity to own one of Southwest Mississippi's most distinguished legacy estates. Set on approximately 96 breathtaking acres, this extraordinary French Country residence blends timeless architecture, exceptional craftsmanship, and an incomparable natural setting. Originally designed in the French Country tradition and thoughtfully enhanced with additions by noted architect Ken Tate, the home was built with exceptional care and an unwavering eye for detail.
An unforgettable tree-lined approach creates a dramatic sense of arrival, revealing a gracious estate overlooking a private six-acre lake. Beautifully curated gardens, lush yet thoughtfully designed landscaping, and sweeping vistas surround the home, creating a setting that is both spectacular and remarkably manageable.
Encompassing approximately 7,500 square feet, the residence is filled with abundant natural light and offers elegant yet comfortable living spaces designed for both intimate gatherings and grand-scale entertaining. A beautifully appointed kitchen serves as a natural gathering place, while a wine cellar, gracious living areas, and expansive windows frame breathtaking views of the lake, gardens, and surrounding landscape.
The outdoor living experience is equally exceptional. A resort-inspired pool is nestled among beautifully landscaped gardens, with countless places to relax, entertain, and enjoy the peace and privacy that define the property. Every element has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the beauty of the surroundings while supporting effortless everyday living.
Although offering the serenity of a private country retreat, the estate is conveniently located just minutes from town and approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Jackson and 1 hour and 50 minutes from both Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
Properties of this caliber are rarely offered, where timeless architecture, extraordinary land, and an exceptional sense of place come together in one unforgettable setting.

"People let their dogs run around unattended. You cannot leave your dog out in your own yard unattended because of it."
  • Sandysprankle
"Everyone just lets their dogs run around out their yards! So if your dog/dogs aren’t ready for company in their yard, "
  • Carolgfelix
"We have not had any community events in our subdivision; however, McComb and surrounding towns have great festivals."
  • Sandysprankle
"People just let their dogs run loose all around the neighborhood. I wouldn’t let my kids out to play."
  • Lisa W.
"None really. There are few parades and events in this town. It’s more of just a stopping place between Hammond and Jackson. "
  • Ae1016
"Everyone knows everybody in this small town. You don’t have to look far to see someone you know. Traffic is also never a concern. "
  • Mew P.
"We have annual festivals and events: Azalea festival, The Iron Horse Festival, Train Day; The Farmer’s Market is every Thursday. The community always pulls together to support someone in need by selling various plate lunches. "
  • Sanconday
"Long time neighbors, family church in neighborhood over 140 plus years old, mostly elderly neighbors, low crime"
  • Justine.davis06
"We have lived in mccomb for almost two years.. it’s ok .. I’m still use to living in Madison county ..still learning my way around town "
  • Lottiannlucas73
"My neighborhood is boring we have nothing to entertain us but the streets I would love to a walking distance restaurant near but I doubt that will ever happen. "
  • Michael F.
"A small neighborhood on a private drive can go anywhere in town in 15 minutes. Easy to drive one hour fifteen minutes to jackson 90 minutes to New Orleans"
  • Bessie W.
"the people's that live here ,I am very friendly to everyone and they are too.me you can sit outside without some knocking you in the head"
  • Courtney B.
"I used to live in this neighborhood, and I was glad to leave. Dogs run loose because no one has bothered to fence their yards. There are no sidewalks, so if you're taking a walk, you have to be in the street. The residents speed through the neighborhood, even though the posted limit is 30 mph. The neighborhood, while older and established, looks run down. Many residents don't keep their yards neat, adding to the overall look of neglect. There aren't many families with kids, so I wouldn't call this a family friendly area. Also, there is creek bisecting the neighborhood which can be quite swift moving when there's been a lot of rain. On the positive side, the lots are large and homes are generally set well back from the street. It's also fairly quiet. But all in all, not an area I'd want to live in again. "
  • Owner
"Great small town atmosphere surrounded by some small hills containing beautiful wooded areas as well as open fields. Friendly polite people abound and lots of outdoor activities nearby. "
  • jmccarty
"I live next door to this house, My wife and I are both teachers in this area. I know the area well. It is within walking distance to the Public Library, Schools High School, Middle School, and Elementary. It has a community college about 10 min, drive away. Fast food and fine dining within walking distance. Two Grocery stores just a few blocks away, as well as plenty of banks, in addition to a Wal-Mart Supercenter and a Mall just a few minutes away. The hospital is about 15 blocks away. Very nice churches just a few blocks in any direction. Very nice neighbors who are willing to help you in any way that they may help if you need it. We have them keep an eye on our dogs while we are out of town. Large cities just an hour drive in almost any direction, for example Baton Rouge, LA, New Orleans, LA, Jackson, MS, Hattiesburg, MS. Very inexpensive Cost of Living. We have a number of health clubs including a very nice one at the First Baptist Church-Mccomb, which includes a basketball court. A boys and Girls club just a few minutes away. I hope this helps. "
