7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my 2nd review of this school now that I have a 2nd child attending this school. This school is just as bad as I thought it was before, if not worse. Most of the students that attend this school are horrible. There's too much bullying and harassment. The harassment from students has extended to families outside of school. Students that get harassed or bullied aren't allowed to stand up for themselves otherwise they get in trouble too. Parents are not allowed to stand up for their kids. Longview school district is horrible as a whole because they don't do anything to make schools as safe as they should be. My kids have acquired extreme anxiety because of monticello middle school. I hate that we're stuck in this school district! There's only one teacher that my child likes. This school could also use better staff working in the office that actually cares about all students and not just the bullies. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was a kind of fine school but not really. The teachers aren’t very nice but some are. There is barley any homework and they learned little to nothing. There was quite a bit of bullying happening and barley any attention to it. Although, some teachers are a 9/10 and really nice and teach relatively well. Also, the kids have around 1 hour and a half of free time all day (half hour recess, 15 minute recess and 30 minute lunch) which can be great for some but not all. I would give this a 2.5 but can’t. I hope this helped parents in need of finding a school for their kid. I will be homeschooling my kids until they can go to middle school/high school.Parent Review3y ago - R A Long High School
