Lamar CISD needs to consider finding a more qualified person to lead this school. Mrs. Cunningham is not suited for the role. It says something about leadership when staff is quitting in October. It says something about leadership when the principal elects to spread the students in that class to the remaining second grade team instead of choosing to bring in a long-term sub or onboard a qualified 2nd grade teacher. That was a choice she made. We are only a third of the way through the school year. Parents are not happy! This decision puts stress on the remaining 2nd grade team while simultaneously lessening the attention that each student can be given because the number of students in the classroom has increased. Choose your neighborhood wisely if you're considering moving to Fulshear. Other things to consider: 1. The PTO does a great job with activities and being supportive. 2. Some of the staff members speak to parents as if we are beneath them. Their attitudes are awful and it's not nice.3. Rumor has it that the principal plays favorites with her staff. Where there's smoke, there's fire.If mortgage rates weren't so high, our family would be moving back to Katy ISD. Unfortunately, we are locked in for now.

This school is horrible. Staff is lazy, hate their job, complain about their pay to anyone and everyone, staff does not care about issues. When you speak about issues, it puts a target on your child's back, and the staff will bully your child! Watch out. The principal is horrible, does as little as possible, doesn't care about issues at his school. The car rider line horrible and unorganized. Theft and fights are constant issues. There is no control at this school. Wokeness runs deep here. We were one of over 100 families that have pulled their children out of the school. No support. I don't know what my son really learned while here, he never had papers or research papers to write. This school is not teaching the kids anything to prepare them for the high school, the real world, jobs, nothing! The 2 years here would nothing but a nightmare!

Honestly the school isn’t that bad all around. But I personally think this school is terrible. The people only wanna be cool, and coming from another school I didn’t feel welcomed. Don’t transfer here
