About this House

A complete interior remodel of this house done in early 2017. New Bathroom, new flooring throughout entire main floor, new paint throughout, all light fixures are brand new(and ceiling fans). The kitchen has newer cabinets and brand new Whirlpool stainless steel appliances including: 36 fridge, gas oven, dishwasher and above the oven Microwave. The kitchen and bath is beautiful. The roof is in decent shape and the vinyl siding has been power washed and is in good shape. The furnace and AC in both in good working shape as is the water heater.

The basement is perfect for storage and there is a lot of room. It is a dry basement and a new sump pump has been installed. The North and west walls of the foundation have been completely rebuilt, so the foundation is great. There is a new driveway poured back to the two car garage(which has a nice sized workshop on the east side)

Willard Elementary likes to bully children with special needs. They are aware of disabilities the child has but does the complete opposite when trying to "help" the child. They grab children and yell at them. Even those with PTSD which that behavior can make matters worse and the child's behavior worse. I would not recommend this school especially for special needs students

"I have had multiple encounters with my neighbors. They remain friendly and keep to themselves. Every once in awhile you will someone walking around that looks a little sus but I’ve had a good experience for the most part. "

"We are friendly with several of our neighbors, we have BBQ'S or have snacks with a few of them. They look out for our place, as we look out for theirs. We definitely watch the "druggies" that come and go from one house across the alley from us."

"I've lived here for almost 3 years with a friend. It's a crowded house, but we all love this neighborhood. There was only a few incidents that had me concerned, but they seem to have been isolated. Neighbors tend to look out for each other here, like the old days."

"It's a nice quiet neighborhood with lots of dogs all around. Some outside in fenced yards, and some inside. Some being walked around by their owners. There are sidewalks to walk on."

"Dogs in the neighborhood more than most. It is probably the oldest area in Des Moines so the houses aren't brand new but many have been updated and look beautiful"

"The commute is easy especially if you work downtown. There is great access to I-235 and I-80. West Des Moines and Clive area 15 minutes."
