We have two very nice parks even closer than that, and our kids walk to the neighborhood elementary school (McAuliffe). The neighborhood is very friendly, and really comes together at Halloween and Christmas, when people come from other parts of town to enjoy the festive decorations. There's no other neighborhood in Bakersfield we would rather live in."
