7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is over all just terrible. Very few of the teachers genuinely care about their students, especially when it comes to bullying and mental health. I've seen kids going around with fresh and uncovered SH and none of the teachers will say a thing, not even guidance counselors. I once brought to the school's attention of another student's attempts and SH and I had to bring it to their attention multiple times before they did anything. The guidance counselors do nothing to help the students, they either send them out or tell them to stop being dramatic even when the student is overwhelmed they only care about themselves and their reviews. There are also many teaches who just don't teach, they'll just put on a video and throw a bunch of work at you and expect you to know what to do and a lot of them take forever to even put in grades even after being reminded.Student Review6mo ago13 Reviews - Sandalwood High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of two alumni, I can attest that conflicts and substance abuse issues are inevitable; do not assume that a school with nearly three thousand students will be immune to these challenges. Nonetheless, the manner in which they are addressed is of utmost importance. As your child enrolls in this institution, ensure their participation in various programs offered, such as JROTC, culinary arts, and Dual Enrollment. It is essential to remember that your child continues to require guidance, and parents along with school staff collaborate to support the students' best interests.Other Review3mo ago12 Reviews - Alimacani Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school overall is decent. However I wish they had more cultural diversity and provide more anti bullying programs/ workshops. There needs to be more black/brown/latinos, theres not enough involvement for the parents, like RARELY. Therefore as a parent you feel left out of your childrens lives. Another factor, is the everyday tests and quizzes these kids have to complete! Seems like the school is worried about their ratings and numbers. One other factor is the teacher shortage, kids get so many teachers and the staff will move the children from one class to another like nothing, for example they change the kids homeroom teacher a lot. Seems very upsetting.Parent Review2y ago17 Reviews - Check out schools near 2903 Bratcher Rd.

"There are always people walking their dogs in the neighborhood and there’s a small park/open area that dogs are often running around in. Overall it is a very dog friendly neighborhood. Nothing I don’t like about it"

"Nice neighborhoods and friendly people. Generally houses and yards are kept up and nice looking. The area is not walkable but is dog friendly and family friendly. There is frequent vandalism and car break ins. Our neighborhood had 10-20 cars broken into the other night. "

"This area is close to a few bigger stores and has a small community feeling . The biggest down fall is I can hear my neighbors on the phone with all the windows and doors closed in my house. I do not blame them for being loud or unruly but more so for the quality of the houses that was built in this area. Also there are small parties on weekends that last longer than normal and thanks to the amazing road that’s close by I can hear Street racing and sometimes gunfire "

"I love this area. It's central to just about everything in Jacksonville with a quick commute to both downtown and the beaches. There are a lot of families within the community and great schools."

"I used to live in Covenant Cove and I must say it was my favorite place to live in Jacksonville. I felt like I was close to everything from downtown to St Johns town center in addition to being only 10 minutes away from the beach. There is a super target, a couple grocery stores and several restaurants and bars that are in a walking distance. It is also a plus to be only 5 minutes away from Mayo Clinic and 15 min from UNF. I am a single woman and I never felt awkward walking out at night by myself in the neighborhood. Very safe and clean and my neighbors were very friendly."
