This rustic property backs up to the Norm Wilder Forest and offers an opportunity to take on a project. Cottage needs TLC and is being sold "As Is". Views of the mountains and the river across the road. Springs beginning at the back of the property form a stream that falls in places as it works its way down to the Pacolet River on the other side of the highway. The springs are the source of water for the cottage with the stone cistern being located at the head of the springs. Stone lined walking paths, hardwood trees and natural plantings and stone formations. House has a wood burning fireplace in the living room that heats the whole house. Hardwood floors in the living room and dining room under the carpet. Foundation is a high crawl space with lots of storage area. Old foundation and fireplace behind the house could make a nice patio area.

As such, most homeowners are not considered part of a community - and tend to celebrate or socialize with friends either from church or from the local horse community. "

The town is safe and clean and our kids enjoy a level of freedom and independence unheard of these days. We love it. "

    "Lived in tryon for some time. I moved back north. Not a very friendly community. Best if you have strong ties here. People originally from around this area feel as if people moving here is not good for them. Poor economy. Businesses constantly failing. And it is true there is an alcohol problem as many people are bored and unhappy in tryon especially people under 50 or so. Not a good place for children. This town should also be red flagged as a gang stalking community. Ideal for retirees who don't go out much."
