Description

Built in 1900, this charming rowhouse offers a seamless blend of original character and modern updates throughout. Personally upgraded in 2017 by a local architect who paid careful attention to maintaining the integrity of the historical attributes, this gem will surely meet all of your expectations! As you approach the home you’ll find on-street parking to be a breeze as it corners Marshall St & N 29th. The brick exterior and Italianate front porch welcome all who arrive and is the perfect place to greet your new neighbors over a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage. Step inside to 10+ foot ceilings, a neutral wall pallet, and new hardwood flooring that flows throughout the 1st floor, while the original hardwood is on the staircase and throughout the 2nd floor. To the right of the foyer is a spacious office or formal living/dining area ready to make your own! This space offers great natural lighting and features a black (non-working) fireplace, which you will find in several other rooms of the home. Down the hall is a large living room and a full bathroom with beautiful mosaic tile, an updated vanity, and tiled shower. The eat-in kitchen features white, slow close cabinetry that reach the ceiling - optimizing storage space. The farm sink looks out into the manicured backyard and trees in bloom just down the street. Stainless steel appliances, a quaint, but convenient pantry, and granite counters also reside in the kitchen! As you head upstairs you’ll notice great natural light from the 2nd floor skylight. On the 2nd floor there are 3 sizable bedrooms with the primary offering an abundance of natural light. Also upstairs is a stacked washer and dryer and a full bathroom with an oversized vanity and shower/tub combo. The backyard features new slate patio pavers, new picket fencing, newly mulched flowerbeds with lavender, daylillies, and more. Located in the heart of Church Hill, you’ll enjoy some of Richmond’s best restaurants and more just moments away. Don’t miss out on this one - schedule your showing today!

"The neighborhood is convenient to downtown, well maintained, warm and welcoming. I have enjoyed my time here. Churchhill Richmond is a beautiful place to live. It is located perfectly for access into Richmond’s municipal center, the VCU campus, the MCV medical complex and local nightlife."
  • Trulia User

"Extremely close to downtown and 95 without being right in the middle of the city. 15 minutes to chesterfield or short pump "
  • Danielle A.
"Church Hill is a quiet but lively neighborhood with a ton of community and culture. I love that it has the benefits of a city (stores, restaurants, parks, etc) but still has a neighborhood feel. There's always something or some event going on and we love that we can walk to everything we need to. "
  • Karilege
"Love the multicultural community, great restaurants, walkabilty, public transportation, and history of the neighborhood. "
  • Peter B.
"Far on hi way way out to the suburbs. A lot of good jobs are in the West End and you definitely need a car to get anywhere. "
  • Ziegfred D.
"no parking, people are not friendly to minorities, people does not clean up after their dog, restaurant does care about their trash and parking "
  • Sarah S.
"Easy access to the Pulse and GRTC buses. Walkable to Shockoe Slip and even downtown. Easy access to the interstates though it gets a little congested once you go down the hill toward Shockoe Bottom and the on ramps."
  • Sarahk
"Centrally located, mixed-income area, lots of nonprofits, friendly neighbors but also gentrifying quickly and becoming unaffordable"
  • Sarahk
"Friendly neighbors in a mixed income area; lots of stuff to do within walking distance; close to gas stations and the highway; walking distance to downtown Richmond, MCV, the river and the bottom; on the bus line; stores like Walmart, Lowe’s, grocery, etc. within two miles; some petty property thefts, but not really an issue if you lock your car and track your packages!"
  • mslf500
"Skyline and river views, a great little park and plenty of dining opportunities within walking distance make this area a great neighborhood."
  • Fburroughs
"I work in an office located 5 minutes from this area and I have renovated a home in this area. The 600 block of N 33rd St. is located 5 minutes from the Virginia Commonwealth University and VCU/MCV Hospital. Interstates 95 and 64 are also located just five minutes away. There is a nice Mall (White Oak Mall) located less than 10 minutes away in Eastern Henrico County with "big box" stores such as Lowes Home Improvement, J. C. Penney, Target, Martins Grocery, etc. along with restaurants such as Long Horn Steak House, Olive Garden, TGIF Fridays, Steak & Shake, etc. Public Transporation (GRTC) from the neighborhood is located one block away from N 33rd St. on Chimborazzo BLVD. There is also a Grocery store located just one block away from N 33rd St. The James River is within "walking distance" (approximately 15 minutes) from the 600 block on N. 33rd St. On the street parking is not a problem and there is alley access to the rear of the homes and ample room for off-street parking on each homes' lot located on the 600 block of N. 33rd Street. There is a dog park located with walking distance from the 600 block of N. 33rd St. as well as some restaurants, bars, parks."
