"I lived here for a few years. A great place if you have unlimited income and free time. Schools are far. Shopping is far - and it's just the typical tahoe retail (Safeway, etc.). All other shopping is in Reno. There is no real work locations here, and most of the work is food service, hospitality. If you are in real estate or construction - then you can find a place to work. You basically Live here to recreate in the mountains: There is no nightlife, no public transportation, and no real community."
