About this House
We have a unique and very beautiful property. The views are astounding! We are on a dead end gravel road with quality neighbors and homes. It is private and quiet. You can't see other houses. Our main home is a beauty! I call it Elegance in the Country. The wrap around covered porch is cement for easy care. Under the porch roof we have fans so that when you sit outside on those beautiful evenings in the summer, you can be more comfortable. The back of the home also boasts a 10x25 covered porch overlooking the pond. Perfect for those nice morning breakfasts as you listen to the birds sing. Nothing is here to disturb your peace. Our custom home is built using 2x6 construction with cellulose blow in insulation for a solid R-22 in the walls and R-40 in the ceiling. The walls are textured to look like plastered farmhouse walls. It really looks great, kinda like a soft leather. The interior doors are beaded with a slight arch and are a farmhouse looking door. All have brass handles. The walls are custom colored with some great popular colors that give a nice flow to each individual room. Windows abound all around. Natural light is able to spill in and highlight the wall colors. It gives a great feel! Two bedrooms include a full bath while one shares a full bath with the rest of the house. The interior of the home boasts a tall cathedral ceiling right up to the dormers shining in their light. It is neat to see the moon and stars peak through at night as an added natural feature. We have included many can lights and dimmer switches in several of the rooms. Real hardwood floors and tile add to the ambiance. The tile has a tuscan look and goes well with many colors. We did a narrow grout and staggard the tiles. Great look! The kitchen, dining and great room all flow together as one combined living area. The island is custom built. The cabinets are solid maple with sangria finish. There is an open stairway with oak treads and rail leading up to a large upper mastersuite/office/sauna and excercise room or a private guest room offers full bath, large closet. Heading down carpeted stairs brings you to a half-basement fully finished and carpeted. There are several closets for storage. This can be used for many different things. All is quality constructed with careful attention to detail. We built this gorgeous 3 car garage with a very nice apartment over it. The apartment is well equipped with one large bedroom, one bath, living room, kitchen, a beautiful entry, several closets and a laundry area. The upstairs kitchen, bathroom and the entry is tiled. The living room and bedroom are carpeted. Our taxes are very low in this part of the country. The local area boasts sparkling clear rivers, springs, caves, plenty of sunshine, mild winters, hiking, biking, horsebackriding trails galore, wildlife such as deer, turkey and quail for the nature enthusiast or the hunter, and also the benefits of small town culture! The 20 acres is half woods, half open. There is timber and fields for grazing horses, a few cattle, goats, or whatever! I am willing to send you more pictures and answer all your questions!Call right away on this one as there are not very many like it availiable! Our home heated this last year exceptionally well.
