About this House

Mornings here start on the covered back patio, coffee in hand, while Larkins Meadow wakes up around you.

Inside, the living room is where the evenings slow down, a fire going, a movie on, built-in shelves ready to hold the photos and keepsakes that make a house feel lived-in. The kitchen keeps the gathering going, whether that's Sunday dinner prep with someone leaning on the counter to talk, or just a quiet coffee before the day gets going. Down the hall, three bedrooms give everyone their own corner to unwind, get ready, or close the door and have quiet when they need it.

Come evening, that same covered patio is where it all happens again, grilling, catching up, watching the yard do its own thing as the sun goes down. There's room to garden, room for the kids or the dog to run, room to just sit.

And then there's the guest home. Its own driveway, its own entrance, its own bathroom, a full living space plus covered parking and storage. Host holiday guests, set someone up for a long-term stay, or just have room for whoever needs it, without anyone camped out on your living room couch. Whatever the need, it comes and goes without ever crossing through the main house.

This is a property built for how people actually live: slow mornings, easy evenings, and room enough to host anyone who shows up.

"Close knit and safe. Walking distance to school and nice sidewalk for walking. . "
  • Jason Dibler
"Good. It’s great. It’s wonderful. It’s spectacular, it’s amazing, it’s lovely, muy bien, it hits, it smacks hard, "
  • Tiffany Rose
"I drive 10 minutes across town to work. There is no public transportation. Traffic is typically light "
  • Trishquill
"Older homes, with sidewalks. The entire street participates in Halloween and decorated for holidays, very friendly neighbors and safe. The street is fast-paced."
  • Trishquill
"Drive only. No public transportation. No bus or taxi or Uber. Commute is easy without city traffic. "
  • Darrian S.
"There are shops at a decent walking distance if you don’t have a vehicle. Homeland, gas stations, fast food. "
  • T.r.trouerbach
"Bikes get stolen easily so bring them inside. Make sure you always look both directions when crossing the streets because drivers sometimes forget their lights and sirens in this town when speeding."
  • Jan T.
"There is no place in Shawnee that takes longer than 10 minutes by car to reach. There are very rarely anything that resembles a traffic jam. "
  • Alberto_garcia2014
"Most of the neighbors that I know take special interest in others fur babies. I my neighborhood, it is just in taking time to get to know know one another, but also everyone pets names is very important for the safety of our community. "
  • Patty W.
"I love living in Windmill Ridge. The neighbors are friendly & helpful. Everyone takes care of their property and I enjoy walking around Hope Lake and all of the walking trails. "
  • Laila S.
"There are some parks that aren’t kept up with and have discarded needles left around. When it’s not stolen packages and strange people knocking at your door, it can be nice. We have a friendly police force and some of the people here are nice. There’s a lot of local owned businesses and head shops. We have the Crows market that sells fresh produce only from Oklahoma farmers. It’s not so bad, just be careful of where you walk and remember to lock all your doors. It would be good to have a dog with you."
  • 00victoria09
"The north side of shawnee(N of Independence) is the best part of the town. The south is ROUGH though. If you do live on the south side- keep doors locked/windows locked and try to have fenced in yards. "
  • Patty W.
"Walking trails and a lake. We also have a get together once a year with a cookout & entertainment. I know all of my neighbors right around me & would ask them for a favor or would be happy to do a favor for them. I feel safe here. "
  • 00victoria09
"There are very few sidewalks through Shawnee. Only a couple raids partially have any at all. People don’t really watch for them while driving. The animal control doesn’t help if your animals are lost. Not very good place. "
  • Sarah H.
"Our neighborhood works together to keep everyone safe especially since we have had a couple of break-ins. Not only are we on patrol but we work hard on keeping the children safe and comfortable while playing outside."
  • Twostrong211
"very quit neighbor Hood good neighbors and well maintained every body takes care of the yard around kids love it to"
  • Jessicaljones2015
"There is a new dog park that just opened! I haven’t been to it but I see people there often times during the week."
