The worst school i have ever worked at. I wore some simple cat eyes(not big) and they made me go home straight away and wash it off,I was later told i was not allowed to wear dark makeup anymore even though all i was wearing was aimple eyeliner

I am shocked by the other reviewers! I gave two stars because the teachers are great! The adminstration is awful, they don't check ID's when kids are picked up, they don't send home material the community hands out in time ie; sporting events, rec flyers...The principal doesn't have any idea what he is doing, when I registered my oldest son there a few years ago, I requested on conference, after many phone calls and walk in attempts I gave up, 6 months later he called me and when I asked why it took so long he stated..."I didn't know I had to dial 912 (phone prefix) before calling your cell." But what really gets me, the actual building. I believe it was the first school in the county...EVER! Its so old and out dated, Its as though they open a school house, then when it got a lil bigger they added on a hall, then another and another. Gym is in another building, the cafeteria is in another building, each grade has its own building, maybe it was military facitilies before it was a school, that would explain why it didnt have AC in it when we first moved here 5 yrs ago, only those ex large industrial window fans. Our kids, and the great teachers there deserve better!!

Pitiful!! I am from Atlanta GA and my husband is from Tampa, FL. I knew the ideaology out here would be out dated, but this is beyond anything I would have ever imagined! I have been told by a science teacher that the system couldn't afford books, the Microsoft 2010 class has more students than computers, so they share and about 3/4 of them work. Bullying is rampid. new Principal every yr, my son is a 504 student, he is a Sophmore, they just realized he is in 504. What lil money is spent on them isn't on thier safety, being every time there is an out of town event, the buses break down. There is NO parent teacher communication, my son has been on 25 field trips or sporting events, not one time have they come in on time, nor have they called the parents to inform them of thier tardiness. Last yr the ROTC Captain lost a child, all us parents waited 4 hrs in the parking lot, before one of the teens texted back. When he did, he said they were told 20-25 minutes till they pulled in, another hr and a half later he texted and said they stopped to eat. There is a reason land is/was so cheap here, no one that isn't from this community would dare regress to this time warp.

I went to this school as a child and both my girls went to this school. One is currently enrolled and the other is in Middle School. My girls learn very differently and needed different attention (Oldest was IEP with extra help needed and youngest is in gifted) and both girls received an excellent education from the teachers.
