We recently switched our son from Ponchatoula to Albany Upper and it couldnt be any better. The teachers at Albany are the best around. He loves them and always tells us they are his favorite teachers ever. I would never consider switching him back to Tangipahoa parish schools. They are horrible. Just plain horrible.

I do not have a child in this school , but do rent apartments. The principal Kathy told my renter she had to get a copy of my light bill before she would let her child in school. This is a company and what I pay is none of her business. Everyone here signs the same lease. The social security and the Louisiana Food stamp accepts it, but she does not. This is a woman who abuses her authority .

My senior year at Albany Highschool in louisiana has been inefficient to say the least. The administators have hired multiple teachers unqualified to teach subjects. For example, I have my dual enrollment statistics class where they hired a teacher who knew nothing about statistics and told us to use ai. The staff in the office are unprofessional and unsympathetic, they have no skill in how to deal with overwhelmed kids when they come to them with academical issues. I’m speaking this all for the 2021- 2025 school year by the way. This has been happening since my freshmen year.I hope it will get better. The nurse is nice. The counselor is nice however at times there’s people just sitting in his office while people are talking to him. We should fix that for privacy reasons. If you care about learning and education I would not bring your child to albany this school year. There needs to be drastic changes here.

Awesome - I wish they offered more of a break during the day. The teachers and staff are very helpful!
