This home is owned by Ogden City Corporation. We use HUD grant funds to buy and revitalize homes. All our homes are reconditioned and then offered back for sale to a Low to Moderate Owner Occupied buyer(s)/applicant(s). The buyer/applicant can purchase one of the homes we revitalize using the Home Sweet Ogden application. They would then combine that with the Own in Ogden program to receive $10,000.00+/- in grant money. Those funds can be used for down payment assistance and/or closing costs. This program has income and occupancy requirements. This is a really nice program designed to help make homes affordable.

Summary of the current Own in Ogden Program:

• Loans can be used for down payment, closing costs, or principal reduction toward the first mortgage loan balance.
• Income guidelines apply.
• Borrower(s) must provide $500 of his/her own money toward the purchase.
• Persons purchasing their primary residence in Ogden could receive up to a $10,000 loan.
• Ogden City sworn Police Officers, Ogden City Firefighters, and full-time, state-certified K-12 classroom teachers or administrators in schools which serve Ogden City students could receive up to $15,000 or $20,000 loan when buying their primary residence within Ogden city limits.
• Zero percent interest, deferred-payment loan that is repaid in full in the event of sale or if the borrower discontinues property as primary residence.
