The school has grown immensely since 2012 when it was identified as a school in need of growth. Northside became a celebration school in 2015, recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2020. They recently started a Talent Development program that the current principal brought to the school. This program all 2nd Grade students are universally screened for talent development services.
