Description

New Description: So the 1250 Square foot base to the house was a good start. But we wanted to add more.
First we wanted a completely private yard for our dogs to be able to run. The yard had fencing on two sides. We added fencing and a drive thru gate to the other sides. The "L" driveway actually goes up a hill from the road, to a private front yard and ends in front a garage. Between the front yard and the road is a sloped green belt with lots of trees (Note we are removing the cedar that is there). The edge of the private yard is on the edge of the small and this is where the fence is currently. We plan to add another fence closer to roadside to add more space for the dogs to run. The Dogs have there on private Xeriscaped yard with a large dog house made to look like part of the house.

So we extended the original Dining room, and added a Completely new Living Room with Double the space.
We added a new Master Bedroom with an awesome view of the new tree'd property, and a hidden closet, an onsite bathroom with another closet and extra storage, huge tub. We split the original living room into a small library/office with a large storage unit the has barn doors for an added pantry. The library, kitches and dining room have original shiplap, and fancy tin squares. The new bedroom, and new shiplap we got at home depot which makes the room really quaint.

There is a new covered porch that catches nice breezes. And the walk up sidewalk has Jasmine, honesuckle and grapevines. There is an Artist Studio workshop that is covered in Shaker Shingles added an artsy look in a separate building, That is right next to a garden with an Angel Fountain.. Another building for a possible office or bedroom and a walk-in closet. Lastly there is another smaller building for storage.

Lastly the original house was movedd from Bastrop in 1980. As we started the extension we found Shiplap under the sheet rock. From watching Fixer upper, the changed the original plans as we wanted to keep some of the history of the house. We believe based on this and the original insulation in the house, that the house was original built between 1920 and 1940, but possibly to 1960.

"Plenty of sidewalks for dog walking and wide neighborhood streets . Plenty of parks as well"
  • B.sells
"We absolutely love living in this neighborhood! Everyone here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. People take great pride in their homes and lawns, which makes the entire area feel beautiful and well cared for. It’s also very dog-friendly, and the walking trails surrounding the neighborhood are perfect for daily walks and getting outside. Our neighbors are polite, respectful, and the community is generally very quiet and peaceful. It’s been such a wonderful place to call home!"
  • Adriana
"A solid, unpretentious neighborhood where people genuinely look out for each other. It feels safe enough that early morning solo runs before sunrise are no big deal, and you’ll often cross paths with neighbors walking their dogs. Kids play outside, which says a lot about a place. It’s quiet and green, with mature trees that give it a settled, established feel. For all that calm, you’re still just minutes from downtown Austin and the shops and restaurants at Mueller. Commuters will appreciate the easy access to major freeways — it’s one of those rare spots where you get peaceful streets without sacrificing convenience. I’ve lived here for 9 years."
  • Trulia User
"Neighbors actually look out for each other - the kind of place where someone sets out seeds and dried plants for anyone who wants them. Kids play outside, and people say hello when they pass. It’s a good spot to call home."
  • Trulia User
"Convenient and easy to commute to and from, close to downtown and the lake. Easy shopping and some restaurants close."
  • Niyiriss
"I have lived in this neighborhood for over 3 years and I love it here. We are a family of 5 and I have kids, all my family loves it here."
  • Diana Figueroa
"Lots of families and dog walkers. Close to lots of shopping centers and grocery stores. Good schools nearby. Houses are a little pricey."
  • Ashlynncoffee
"We have such friendly & caring neighbors! People with children who love to garden & care for animals. Always saying hello and asking if we need anything. It’s a great place to live!"
  • Anne Marie Ioliver
"It is very quiet in Pflugerville. It is very peaceful here. I enjoy walking in the parks and by Lake Pflugerville."
  • Klsbean
"My son and family have lived in Brentwood for over 10 years. This neighborhood is fabulous, a real sense of community. My grandsons go to the elementary school and they love it. "
  • Katherine Tarr
"Wonderview Preschool is an excellent preschool. This neighborhood is filled with families, walking there, dogs, and pushing strollers. It’s just a fun place to be."
  • Sharptopbear
"Waste stations provided and serviced by HOA. Low traffic area with sidewalks. Friendly neighbors……."
  • JLMB
"A close to key conveniences- grocery, pharmacy , clothes shopping , library. etc. Good walking but no dry cleaner, bank etc. Quality Public transportation is lacking . This is not a real traditional large city . It is a sunbelt city grafted in to an older smaller community ."
  • Rhemnaq
"The neighborhood kids seem to love it I saw a few of them playing on the block safely and the other parents seem to be very attentive "
  • Jake Finsta
"There is a high school next door and the neighborhood is always very lively. Not a ton of specific events that are thrown, but great city "
  • Daniel.becka
"Lots of dogs in the neighborhood, walking and running. Lots of green space for them to explore. Very pet friendly. "
  • Chad Yokum
"This neighborhood is not near public transportation. During peak hours, 7:30am-9am and 3:45-6:30 it can take 45-50 minutes to get downtown. It’s just 20 minutes when traffic is flowing. "
  • Crystal Sheffield
"I live in this area commute to work, no problems and privacy. Apartment is very attentive to service calls. "
  • Karina Mendoza
"Super close to the freeway and honestly tucked away so hardly any traffic ever and I love it and would definitely recommend the area. The only downside is is sometimes the homeless population gets a little out of control and can be quite aggressive. They also dumpster dive very frequently, but for the most part, they are really nice and respectful."
  • Crystal Sheffield
"Not a bad neighborhood, there are kids for couples with children. I haven’t had any packages stolen. Or maintenance problems."
  • Shery Abbassi
"Aggressive dogs not on leash and owners making you feel like it’s your fault an your dogs issue and they are entitled "
  • Unspecified
"It’s family friendly and plenty of things to do for all ages. Many restaurants to choose from and lots of choices for retail shopping and grocery shopping. "
  • Vivian Balderas
"Food truck really close walkable distance to anything and everything. Friendly neighborhood. I’ve met half the people on my block. A lot of people walk their dogs. It’s a family friendly neighborhood. I see the neighbors walking with their children and their families are comfortable visiting them here in this neighborhood. I feel safe in this neighborhood. It’s a quiet neighborhood. There’s the capital Metro rail and it’s not loud. It’s Neighbourhood friendly. I recently had a tree farm in my yard and someone visiting a neighbor on my block, called the police department for me and notified me right away during the storm."
  • Colleen Kerstein
