About this House

Located in Delray Beach off of Linton and Homewood, minutes from Atlantic Avenue. The unit is in the perfect spot between west Delray and the beach, about a mile from i95. The apartment is a one-story unit that is part of a duplex, so you have a front and backyard, along with two parking spots right outside your front door. It is also on a cul-de-sac for for quaintness and privacy. The kitchen and bathroom are completely remodeled. Washer and dryer in unit. There is an empty Florida Room that is the size of a closed in patio that leads to the backyard (that is the picture with the gym equipment). It is empty and can be used for storage. There is a Pottery Barn couch in the guest room and a Pottery Barn dresser in the master bedroom. You'll have a cozy farmhouse feel in this safe little home. Everything will stay: Two couches, two coffee tables, bed, dresser, two televisions (one is not hooked up), barstools, coffee maker, etc.

Please provide a short bio (age, career, reason for your move and whether you will be coming alone or with a partner), so I can see if this will be a good fit.

A contract will be signed that you pay the rent, utilities and water on the same day each month. I also ask that you provide proof of income.

There is no dishwasher or microwave. I wanted to save room in the kitchen and I have a huge sink. So for one or two people, it is absolutely doable. I don't have cable connected, but I pay for it so I believe you can add it, and I will look into that if necessary. I have all of the apps (Hulu, Netflix, Prime) and the wifi is included. Water and utilities are not included and I can send you a receipt and bill every month to pay along with your rent. I am not sure when I will be back in my house, which is why I am making this on a month to month basis. My home has been vacant for several months. I am staying in Boca currently as I iron out some medical issues, so I am always nearby in case anything goes wrong. I want this to be as seamless as possible. I want someone honest, trustworthy, and understanding. Someone that is clean and mindful. I have never had anyone live in my house so this is new for me. But I am going to see how this works.

"Cute, kid friendly, but not many other kids. Pool and tennis court is super nice though"
  • K6m744crw4
"There is a lot of space for dogs to walk in, but not every backyard is fenced in. Ours isnโ€™t. Sadly there are also many strays around, as well as many outdoor cats, which can be stressful depending on the dog!"
  • K6m744crw4
"Downtown Delray has many fun events. Where we live particularly though, it doesnโ€™t feel safe. Somehow itโ€™s not affordable either."
  • K6m744crw4
"There are a lot of great parks and activities around, but I donโ€™t feel like itโ€™s particularly safe and there arenโ€™t good public schools."
  • Mtinsley
"Itโ€™s a great, walkable community mostly for adults. Tourists with children tend to stay at hotels near the beach, but residents wise itโ€™s mostly educated adults. "
  • Jackie.sullivan11
"Just visiting! Itโ€™s beautiful and everyone is very friendly. We loved the green market! They have many restaurants with gluten free food! I have celiac! I would recommend Delray as a wonderful place to visit! Itโ€™s great for families as well and the beach is beautiful!"
  • Mtinsley
"This is a guilt neighborhood with adults, most being between 50 and 70 Iโ€™d say. Few children, other than grand kids visiting. "
  • Brad Conlon
"Downtown Delray Beach is always hosting something special in the open space they have. For example there is a 100 foot Christmas tree they put up as well as tons of fun activities"
  • Junior Lange
"Depending where in Delray you live will dictate you kids experience. Yes itโ€™s neighborly but also feel secluded. Many monthly activities for all groups. "
  • Tara Fradley
"It safe you can walk around freely โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ. Alll day yay Delray Beach so cool. The quick brown fox jumps "
  • Mdninnyc
"They will love it very very much because it feels safe & secure to bring your family here to live. Not a lot of rug rats. "
  • Amccrosson05
"At least once or more a week, thereโ€™s a loose dog running around. I have found none to be aggressive, but if you have a reactive dog (towards other dogs) like me itโ€™s an uneasy feeling to walk them every day."
  • Milysull
"I am retired so do not need to. There is the tri rail train and buses near by though. Also a free ride car past 95. "
  • Babsbb

  • Grace Lee
"Lots of kids and dogs are able to play in the Lake Ida neighborhood and not worry about safety. People look out for each other with packages and anything out of the ordinary. Fun community events for kids, dogs, and families weekly!"
  • Trulia User
